Over the past number of years the Town has been working towards enhancing the aesthetics of the downtown core with a variety of improvements which have included burying power lines, new benches, pedestrian waste and recycling containers, trees and flower plantings and upgraded pedestrian crossings.

In continuation of the downtown enhancement program the Mayor and Council have initiated a study whose purpose is to determine the costs of enhancing and implementing a Town operated commercial waste and cardboard collection program in the business revitalization zone (BRZ). In very general terms this would focus on making waste and cardboard collection less visible.

This survey has been designed to collect baseline information on the current waste and cardboard collection, recycling habits and your suggestions about improving the program.

This information will be summarized along with other research into a report that will be completed in July 2009 and presented to Town Council.
