Today is the LAST day to take part in our FREE lantern making workshop!

Drop-in between 10am-6pm!

Get creative with new designs, old favourites, or create your own. Participants are invited to make their own lanterns for the 2009 Lantern Festival ahead of time in one of our free lantern making workshops, or bring one from last year's event.

All basic materials are provided, though participants are encouraged to bring pressed leaves and flowers or other decorative elements. Participants are encouraged to return with their lanterns on November 13 to be part of the celebration. Children must be accompanied by an adult. All lanterns are to be completed by November8 and must be able to be carried safely through town.

Workshops will be held at the "Lantern Studio" in Canmore Crossing (Unit 104, 1120 Railway Ave).

How long does it take to make a lantern?

Bamboo Lantern: 6 hours

Globe Lantern: 2 hours

Tetra Pack Lantern: 1 hour
